Eugene Larkin (June 27, 1921 - November 13, 2010) was an American artist who specialized in woodblock printing, lithographs, and collages. Larkin specialized in woodcuts. “He was inspired by the natural world, using plant materials in his work and prioritizing textures in his prints.” ~I love the idea that Larkin sourced natural materials to create works of art!~ Larkin drew inspiration from music and poems.
You can find Larkin’s work in various museums and galleries, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Library of Congress, Walker Art Center, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Museum of Modern Art, and Minneapolis Institute of Art.
